M&E Facility Engineer

The M&E Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical systems supporting the building / plant facility. The role ensures reliable, safe, and uninterrupted infrastructure performance to support critical production and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for M&E systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting building / plant utilities, electrical systems, compressed air, plumbing, fire protection, and backup power systems.
  • Support facility operation.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders for maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and project works.
  • Review maintenance schedules, service reports, work permits, and shutdown plans.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in compliance with statutory, EHS, and site procedures.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies, including after-hours support when required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, inspection records, and maintenance reports.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in building, facilities, industrial environments.
  • Ability to manage contractors and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Understanding of safety, permit-to-work, and compliance requirements.
  • Good communication, reporting, and teamwork skills.
