M&E Manager (Commercial Interior Fit-Out)

About the Company

Our client is an established workplace design and build consultancy with a strong portfolio of commercial office and workplace projects across Singapore and the region.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of M&E works for commercial interior fit-out projects.

This role is suited for an experienced M&E professional with strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and coordination of M&E designs for commercial workplace projects.
• Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and value engineering solutions.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Interior Designers, Consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost-effective project solutions.
• Ensure all M&E designs and tender submissions comply with statutory requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
• Manage procurement, project variations, and contract administration for awarded projects.
• Review and certify contractor and supplier claims.
• Provide technical support throughout project execution to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Having 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in M&E works, preferably within commercial office fit-out or interior construction projects.
• Strong understanding of ACMV, Electrical, Fire Protection, and ELV systems.
• Experience in tender management, cost estimation, procurement, and value engineering.
• Good knowledge of Singapore statutory requirements and industry regulations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
