Undertaking data centre construction projects and other complex building developments. They are seeking an experienced M&E Manager to oversee data centre project.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee mechanical and electrical (M&E) works for data centre construction projects from planning through to testing, commissioning and handover.
Coordinate M&E activities with the project team, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant stakeholders.
Manage the installation and coordination of electrical and mechanical systems, including power distribution, cooling systems, ACMV and associated building services.
Review M&E drawings, technical submissions, shop drawings and method statements to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Monitor project progress, installation quality, manpower and subcontractor performance to meet project schedules.
Coordinate M&E works with civil, structural and architectural teams to resolve interface issues and prevent clashes.
Oversee testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems meet project requirements and operational standards.
Identify and resolve technical issues, site constraints and coordination challenges.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, authority requirements, workplace safety standards and project quality requirements.
Attend project meetings and provide updates on M&E progress, technical issues and outstanding matters.
Work closely with the project management team to manage project risks, variations and timely delivery.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Relevant M&E management experience in the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
Experience in data centre construction projects is strongly preferred.
Building M&E systems, including electrical infrastructure, ACMV, cooling systems and associated services.
