M&E Manager

Your new company

A well-established property owner and manager is seeking an experienced Facilities Management professional to oversee the operations and maintenance of a prestigious mixed-use commercial development.

Your new role

Reporting to the property management leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall management of building services, facilities operations and fire safety compliance across the development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the operation and maintenance of all M&E systems, including electrical, ACMV, fire protection, lifts, escalators, generators and related building services.
  • Managing preventive maintenance programmes, contractor performance and service delivery standards.
  • Leading tenant fit-out reviews, capital improvement works and sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitoring utilities consumption, Green Mark compliance and energy optimisation programmes.
  • Managing fire safety compliance and emergency preparedness procedures as the appointed Senior Fire Safety Manager.
  • Preparing budgets, reports, forecasts and expenditure approvals.
  • Building strong relationships with tenants, authorities, service providers and other key stakeholders.
  • Leading and developing the M&E team to achieve operational and customer service KPIs.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
  • Certified Senior Fire Safety Manager (mandatory).
  • Proven experience managing M&E operations within commercial buildings, mixed-use developments or large-scale facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, fire safety regulations, fit-out processes and facilities management best practices.
  • Experience managing contractors, service providers, budgets and maintenance programmes.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
