M10 - Backend Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer specialising in Java and Spring Boot to support the modernisation of legacy enterprise applications.

The role involves developing backend services, implementing application business logic, and integrating modernised frontend applications with backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Modernise backend components for VIS and CGS applications.
• Implement application business logic based on functional requirements.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend applications.
• Support database integration and backend service development.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and technical teams.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend application issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of service-layer architecture and database integration.
• Experience implementing application business logic.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and code review practices.
