M51 - Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Build and maintain full-stack web apps using Next.js for the frontend and Directus for backend/CMS integrations, ensuring performance and security.

Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern web applications on the Optical platform. You will build scalable frontend and backend solutions, integrate CMS capabilities, implement new features, and support production systems while ensuring performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

Application Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications.
  • Build responsive frontend applications using Next.js.
  • Develop backend services, APIs, and CMS integrations using Directus.

Solution Engineering

  • Develop reusable frontend components and backend services.
  • Implement new website features, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Perform data migration, system optimization, and performance tuning.

Quality & Support

  • Perform unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide Level 2/Level 3 support.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with designers, business analysts, DevSecOps engineers, and project managers.
  • Support Agile delivery, sprint planning, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience developing modern web applications using Next.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating CMS platforms such as Directus.
  • Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, and web performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile development.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
