Machine Design Engineer II - Aramid

As a Machine Design Engineer II, you will design machinery to improve efficiency of the business unit and supports new product launches. Develop machines to replace machines with excessive man-hours as well as coming up with better ways to make machinery operate more efficiently. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain, analyze, and finalize machinery requirements.
• Design equipment optimizing machinery cost, safety and return on investment.
• Select vendors and assist purchasing to assure best pricing delivery of machine components.
• Monitors project status for completion requirements.
• Perform tests and record results in order to prove feasibility of design.
• Responsible for the approval of machinery for production.
• Manage and assure security of machinery drawings on the network.
• Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
• Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
• Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Five to seven years progressively more responsible experience.
• A professional level of knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to that ordinarily acquired by completing a four-year baccalaureate program in an engineering field.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
