Summary
Builds and improves deep learning models that personalize Pinterest across Homefeed, Related Products, Search, and ads delivery, while leveraging LLMs for content understanding. Day-to-day involves experimentation with recommender systems using Python, Java, Go, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Hadoop/Spark data pipelines. Full-time telecommuting is permitted.

Job Duties: Build cutting edge technology using the latest advances in deep learning and machine learning to personalize Pinterest. Partner closely with teams across Pinterest to experiment and improve ML models for various product surfaces (Homefeed, Related Product, and Search), while gaining knowledge of how ML works in different areas. Use data driven methods and leverage the unique properties of our data to improve content recommendation and ads delivery. Work in a high-impact environment with quick experimentation and product launches. Keep up with industry trends in recommendation systems. Leverage LLMs to enhance content understanding. Telecommuting and/or remote employment permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline such as Biophysics and Quantitative Biology plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Developing and maintaining data pipelines for training datasets utilizing Hadoop and Spark (2 years); (2) Machine Learning Methods (user modeling, recommender system (2 years) ; (3) Analyzing user behavior signals and enforcement actions by applying natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision–based recommendation algorithms (1 year); (4) Leveraging LLM and CLIP models implemented with TensorFlow and PyTorch (1 year); (5) Designing and improving advertising algorithms using Python, Java and Go (2 years); (6) Developing multi-module market applications of large language models (LLMs) to align visual and language information (1 year).
Full-time telecommuting is an option.
Salary: $215,250.00 - $285,982.00 per annum
