Location: KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools – 150 Marc Drive, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 3rd Shift 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Mandatory overtime as required
Pay Range: $21.63 - $27.08 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differential
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt | Full Time

KYOCERA SGS Precision Tools is looking for an experienced Machine Operator A to join our manufacturing team. You'll operate and set up CNC, manual, and related manufacturing equipment while maintaining quality, productivity, and safe operating standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Set-Up: Operate CNC, manual, and related manufacturing equipment by loading and unloading materials, maintaining efficient cycle times, setting up machines, and adjusting feeds, speeds, and operating parameters as needed.
• Tooling & Maintenance: Monitor machine operation, including part movement, gauges, dials, and machine sounds, to identify and troubleshoot equipment or processing issues. Assist with programming parameter adjustments, maintain and adjust feeds and speeds, and perform routine maintenance and lubrication. Maintain tooling, including dressing, maintaining, and balancing diamond wheels as required.
• Quality & Inspection: Interpret drawings, item attributes, and routings. Perform first-tool and in-process inspections using micrometers, precision scales, indicators, and other appropriate measuring and inspection equipment.
• Safety, Documentation & Teamwork: Complete required paperwork and shop floor data accurately. Follow Quality Management System and safety requirements, including proper PPE and safety devices. Maintain a clean work area, participate in team activities, and assist with training as needed.

What You Bring

Required:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Preferred:

• Two years of equipment operating experience and/or previous tool grinding experience preferred.
• Previous CNC set-up experience preferred.
• Experience using micrometers, precision scales, indicators, and other precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret machine dials, computer screens, mechanical/tool drawings, and precision measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Work in a will-lit climate-controlled manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
• Continuously stand and walk throughout the shift
• Frequently grip and use the upper extremities and wrists for machine operations
• Regularly reach, bend, handle materials, and finished product, including the occasional reaching above shoulder height or below waist.
• Work around manufacturing oils and cutting/grinding fluids with minimal exposure to fumes, dust, and mists.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
