Machine Operator

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate DP grinding machines according to process specifications.
• Set up grinding tools, fixtures, and grinding slurry for production.
• Monitor grinding parameters to achieve the required surface quality and flatness.
• Perform basic inspection and measurement of parts during the process.
• Record production data and report any abnormalities or defects.
• Follow standard operating procedures, safety, and cleanliness requirements.

Education & Experience

• Technical/Vocational graduate or Associate Degree holder.
• Experience as a Machinist, Machine Operator, or in a manufacturing, semiconductor, or optics environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of machine operation and optical part handling.
• Knowledge of using precision measuring instruments such as Digimatic, Micrometer, and Vernier Caliper is preferred.
  

Skills

• Ability to operate DP grinding machines and follow process instructions.
• Good attention to detail and ability to detect surface defects.
• Basic knowledge of inspection tools and measurement equipment.
• Ability to work independently and within a production team.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a controlled production environment.
• Requires standing for long periods and handling precision optical parts.
• Must follow safety, and contamination control procedures.
• 6-day work week, with possible Sunday overtime when shipment requirements are critical.
