Machine Operator III

Position Purpose:

Operates Looper Machine to produce looper rolls to the birch operator for wrapping.

Essential duties:

• Works directly with the Fabrication Supervisor to coordinate and implement all directives in a positive and professional manner for Looper roll Production needs
• Relay information to the crane operator about the material needed to produce in a timely manner.
• Follow the set up work instructions to prepare the machine for operation
• Collect cores and all needed materials to run the needed production quantity
• Notify the Birch Operator when you are ready to start production.
• Inspects looper for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions
• Cleans and maintains work area as prescribed by supervisor
• Communicates professionally, effectively, and with courtesy with employees, managers, customers, vendors, and other departments
• Makes sound decisions; anticipates and adapts to changing needs and resolves problems
• Meets company standards and follows company policies and procedures
• Performs duties fairly, efficiently, and in the best interest and long term success of the company
• Follow 5s and safety policies and procedures
• Other duties, as assigned
