Machine Operator - Metallizer & Finishing 2nd Shift
Are you mechanically inclined with a passion for quality and problem-solving? As a Machine Operator, you will take ownership of our metallizer machine and finishing assets (rewinders, sheeters, levers) to drive efficient production. You will lead machine setups, conduct routine quality checks, and troubleshoot equipment to keep our operations running smoothly.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:45PM - 11:00PM
Starting Hiring Rate: $25.09/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
What You Will Do
Operate & Set Up: Load/unload raw materials and finished products. Set up wire, boats, and equipment to ensure optimal machine performance.
Ensure Quality: Perform routine product testing using standard measuring tools to deliver high-quality, zero-defect products.
Maintain & Troubleshoot: Monitor equipment gauges, control flow, and perform root-cause troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
Collaborate & Adapt: Partner with cross-functional teams to meet production goals, follow safety SOPs, and maintain inventory and production logs.
Basic Requirements: High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain a Lift Truck Operator license.
Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed.
Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency for transactional logging (MFG Pro preferred).
Core Competencies: Strong focus on safety, team collaboration, continuous improvement, and mechanical curiosity.
Preferred Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing in a similar production environment.
Strong shipping/receiving system usage and understanding.
Track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Management and Time Management skills.
Track record of implementing Lean manufacturing processes.
