CNC Machine Operator
Position Summary:
The EDM operator is responsible for the safe and accurate operation of EDM Sink Equipment. This position will have the opportunity for a Days and Afternoons rotating shift.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understand and comply with the worker responsibilities and rights as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OH&S) of Ontario, as well as, the Company’s safety rules/procedures in the Orlick Employee Handbook.
- Understand and comply with Orlick’s policies, procedures and standards of conduct as outlined in the Orlick Employee Handbook.
- Maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality record
- Perform tasks in accordance with detailed instructions.
- Determine the most efficient order of operations required to complete tasks within given time and dimensional requirements.
- Use measuring equipment to ensure size and finish requirements are met or exceeded.
- Read and interpret prints, drawings, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Safely utilize all hand and power tools necessary to complete assigned tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Assist other Tool Shop personnel as directed.
- Communicate and work effectively with other members of the Company.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Metal Cutting Trade Designation (Machinist, Mold, Pattern or Tool Maker license) or equivalent experience with EDM Sinkers
- 1 year of metal cutting trade experience
- Must be able to perform CAD/CAM
- CNC Machining experience is required
- Experience with Esprit software an asset
- Proven Blueprint reading skills.
- Provide accurate results from the use of measuring equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrate strong time management and job planning skills.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Read, write and clearly communicate in the English language.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and team building skills.
