Machinist, Horizontal Mill 1 - Weekend Shift

THIS POSITION IS FOR WEEKEND SHIFT - Weekend hours are 4:00 am to 4:30 pm Friday thru Sunday. 12 hours days
Eligible for 15% shift differential and overtime after 8 hours daily

Training will consist of a minimum two weeks on day shift for training. Longer if needed.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a CNC Horizontal Machinist I, you will set-up and run repeat or proven part(s) with simple to intermediate complexity with direction from area Lead or Supervisor.

• Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedure including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities
• Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications
• Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower-level machinists as required
• Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders
• Able to recognize machine deviation versus cutter or work holding problems and alerts lead or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years’ work experience
• Basic knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD & T
• Experience with Mazak a plus
• Basic knowledge of accepted inspection practices
• Ability to read blueprints to ensure accuracy in part making
