Machinist - Lathe, Horizontal & Vertical for Day shift, Swing at FM Industries

FM Industries has locations in Fremont and Livermore, CA with multiple shift opportunities!

Days: Mon-Fri 6:00am to 2:30pm

Swing Shift: Mon-Fri 2:00pm to 10:30pm - + 10% Shift Differential

Livermore, CA:

Weekend Swing / Day - Full time (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday) + 15% Shift Differential

Fremont, CA:

Weekend Swing / Day - Part time (Saturday, & Sunday) + 15% Shift Differential

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a CNC Machinist, Lathe, Horizontal or Vertical, you will set-up and run repeat or proven part(s) with simple to high complexity with minimal direction from area Lead or Supervisor

• Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedure including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities.
• Responsible for DNC communications upload and download tool program
• Inspect and measure parts to maintain statistic
• Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 to 7 years’ work experience
• Practical knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD&T
• Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
• Enrolled in or vocational education or four years formal apprenticeship preferred.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and G & M code
• Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
• Demonstrated ability at operating computer numerical control machines
