Machinist Primary Functions:
The primary responsibility of the machinist is to ensure the assigned work is completed in a timely manner and at expected quality levels.
Qualifications:
- Reads interprets, and follows work orders, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Work towards continuous improvement in the machine shop.
- Maintain ISO 134852 standards and practices.
- Maintain the standard of quality in the Machine Shop.
- Keep job travelers dated, and organized.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Limit and control the use of shop consumables.
- Pass information to and from employees and upper management to ensure good communication between shifts.
Physical Demands associated with this position include extensive walking and standing, lifting and carrying materials (up to 50 lbs)
Education and Experience
- 3+ years of Machining experience. High School diploma or GED required.
- Trade School education preferred.
- Experience in the field may be substituted for education.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
Additional Job Requirements
- Job duties may include one or more of the following:
- CNC Mill and Manual Mill set up, operation, and maintenance. Knowledge of 5 Axis, 3 Axis, and Wire EDM programming is a bonus.
- CNC and Manual Mill setup, operation, and maintenance.
- CNC Tooling knowledge, Calibrated equipment, machine operation, part loading and clamping, and machine maintenance.
- Understanding Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Sigma Six, and other Continual Improvement experience is a plus.
- G-Code editing at the control.

MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
10-hour shift (6 AM - 5 PM)
