Key Responsibilities

Magento Development

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain Magento 2 modules and extensions.
  
• Build scalable backend solutions adhering to Magento coding standards and best practices.
  
• Implement custom business logic with a focus on maintainability and extensibility.
  
• Develop reusable components and services across the platform.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
  

Magento Architecture

• Design and implement scalable, modular, and loosely coupled Magento architecture.
  
• Apply Service Contracts, Dependency Injection (DI), Plugins, Observers, Events, Repositories, Factories, and Extension Attributes effectively.
  
• Follow SOLID principles and Magento architectural best practices.
  
• Ensure high-quality, well-documented, and testable code.
  

API & GraphQL Development

• Develop and customize Magento GraphQL APIs.
  
• Design custom GraphQL queries and mutations.
  
• Optimize API response times and performance.
  
• Build APIs for headless commerce implementations.
  
• Integrate REST and GraphQL services with third-party platforms.
  

Performance Optimization

• Improve application performance through code and database optimization.
  
• Optimize MySQL/MariaDB queries and database performance.
  
• Implement and configure Magento Full Page Cache (FPC).
  
• Optimize Varnish caching and Edge Side Includes (ESI).
  
• Improve indexing performance and cache utilization.
  
• Optimize GraphQL and REST API performance.
  
• Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks across the application stack.
  

Platform Maintenance

• Perform Magento version upgrades and apply Adobe Commerce security patches.
  
• Manage Composer dependencies and package upgrades.
  
• Ensure backward compatibility during upgrades.
  
• Maintain application stability during deployment cycles.
  

Third-Party Integrations

• Integrate payment gateways, shipping, and logistics providers.
  
• Implement ERP, CRM, and external service integrations.
  
• Maintain marketplace and vendor integrations.
  
• Troubleshoot integration issues and improve reliability.
  

DevOps & Deployment

• Work with Docker-based development environments.
  
• Manage Composer packages and dependency updates.
  
• Support CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Participate in deployment planning and release management.
  
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment automation.
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product teams.
  
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions.
  
• Perform peer code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  
• Contribute to technical documentation and architecture decisions.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Adobe Certified Professional – Adobe Commerce Developer or Adobe Certified Expert – Adobe Commerce Developer (current and verifiable certification is mandatory).
  
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Magento 2 development experience.
  
• Strong experience with PHP 8.x.
  
• Deep understanding of Magento 2 architecture and framework.
  
• Experience developing custom Magento modules and extensions.
  
• Strong understanding of Magento Dependency Injection (DI).
  
• Experience with Plugins, Observers, Preferences, Events, and Service Contracts.
  
• Experience implementing Repository Pattern and Magento APIs.
  
• Strong knowledge of Composer-based Magento development.
  
• Experience with Magento upgrade and patch management.
  
• Experience working with GraphQL and REST APIs.
  
• Strong SQL and database optimization skills.
  
• Experience with MySQL or MariaDB.
  
• Proficiency with Git version control.
  
• Experience working in Docker environments.
  
• Good understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
