We are seeking a skilled developer with strong mainframe experience to join a large-scale federal government technology program. You'll work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to the development, enhancement, support and maintenance of complex enterprise applications.

Eligibility
- Australian Citizenship required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
- Analyse, design, develop, test and maintain software solutions
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Develop technical designs and implementation approaches for complex systems
- Provide production support, maintenance and go-live assistance
- Ensure adherence to software development methodologies and standards
- Prepare technical documentation, progress reports and implementation artefacts
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders
- Contribute to release, deployment and configuration activities
- Identify risks, issues and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Strong experience working within a Mainframe environment
- Experience with COBOL, Adabas Natural, or similar mainframe technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience supporting release and deployment activities
- Experience with M204 / Model 204
- Exposure to Java, C#, or other object-oriented development languages
- Application support and maintenance experience
- Experience in large-scale government or enterprise environments
