Mainframe Developer

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe technologies and a strong understanding of various programming languages and tools used in the mainframe environment. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our existing systems while also contributing to new projects that leverage mainframe capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using IDMS, Easytrieve, REXX, IMS, and CICS. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions that meet business needs. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development. - Document technical specifications and maintain up-to-date knowledge of mainframe technologies and trends. Required Skills: - Proficiency in IDMS, Easytrieve, REXX, IMS, CICS, and Z OS. - Familiarity with SMP/E for software maintenance and installation. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
