Our client is a global powerhouse in infrastructure services, supporting some of the most complex enterprise systems on the planet. They're looking for a seasoned Mainframe Security Analyst to strengthen their RACF environment, keep auditors happy, and sleep soundly knowing they've made a fortress out of every dataset, job, and subsystem.
This is a hands-on, high-trust role sitting at the intersection of security, compliance, and mainframe engineering. You'll be part of a sharp, collaborative team that keeps critical workloads safe, stable, and ahead of regulatory expectations.
What you'll be doing

Safeguarding enterprise mainframe environments with security best practices and risk reduction initiatives.

Administering and enhancing RACF, ensuring access control, audit readiness, and compliance with internal standards.

Contributing to the evolution of mainframe security frameworks, processes, and tooling.

Mentoring and guiding other technical staff sharing your deep command of mainframe security.

Engaging with audit and compliance stakeholders, and closing the loop on any remediation actions.

Writing, testing, and improving JCL, SAS, and automation scripts for smarter, more secure operations.
What were looking for
-
10+ years experience in Security Analyst or Mainframe roles (with RACF mastery).

Expert knowledge across RACF, JCL, SAS, ISPF, and SDSF.

Hands-on programming experience in Python, Assembler, PL/1, or COBOL.

Strong grasp of risk, controls, and audit frameworks within large enterprise environments.

Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills.

A collaborative mindset someone who sees both the code and the bigger picture.

Full Australian working rights (citizenship or permanent residency required).
