Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Solution Architect with strong expertise in mainframe technologies and a background in Capital Markets or Investment Banking.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing high-level and detailed application solutions based on business requirements, while collaborating closely with application owners, business analysts, testers, operations teams, and other project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design high-level and detailed application solutions based on business requirements.
• Provide solution architecture and technical guidance for mainframe applications.
• Work closely with Application Owners, Business Analysts, Testers, Operations teams, and other stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and effective technical solutions.
• Support development projects from an architecture and design perspective.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Analyze complex technical requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
• Support the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and architectural challenges.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10 years of relevant IT experience.
• Hands-on experience as a Solution Architect.
• Strong knowledge of Mainframe technologies.
• Strong knowledge of PL/I, JCL, DB2, SQL, and CICS.
• Experience with System Z / JCL.
• Application design experience within development projects.
• Experience creating High-Level Designs (HLD) and detailed application designs.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

• Strong domain knowledge in Capital Markets or Investment Banking.
• Experience with Mainframe DB2 administration.
• Knowledge of IT IS / AMS Mainframe environments.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies quickly.
