Zero-Max is currently recruiting for a Maintenance and Tool Room Manager is responsible for all building and equipment improvements and maintenance. Designs, builds, and maintains required tooling and fixtures for production machining of all Zero-Max products; manages Tool Room and Maintenance employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Shop
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule all preventative maintenance and repair activities
- Analyze, diagnose, and repair CNC equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Plan and oversee all installation activities
- Analyze and diagnose machining and tooling issues
- Oversee and support TIG welding of products
- Perform TIG welding in absence of welder
- Ensure that safety program and initiatives are followed and recommend changes to ensure safety
Tool Room
- Design and build tools and fixtures for production machining
- Coordinate the machining and construction of tools, gauges, fixtures, etc.
- Check tools to ensure that precision standards are met.
- Requisition of the purchase of small tooling requirements.
- Oversee critical spare part stock and orders components as necessary
Facilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to detect and resolve problems
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
- Partner with leadership and assist with all shop and office projects
- Communicate openly with leadership team and inform them of potential problems and/or solutions
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide overall supervision of Tool Room and Maintenance employees
- Responsible for all aspects of performance management including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work in addition to appraising performance, resolving problems, and acting on opportunities
