Maintenance Associate
SUMMARY
CAREs of NY provides Permanent Supportive Housing to Individuals and Families in Albany County. CARES Housing strives to promote, develop, and provide supportive housing and applies innovative approaches to support individuals and families in their transition from homelessness to stable housing. This position is operational and technical, focused on maintaining the physical environment and ensuring everything runs smoothly day-to-day. Additionally, the role acknowledges that facilities management is vital in promoting housing retention and tenant well-being and, with direction and oversight from the Director of Property Management, coordinates with the case management team to support resident housing stability.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with cleaning, security, and maintenance staff.
- At the direction of the Director of Property Management, collaborate with the case management team to support residents' housing stability by ensuring excellent facility conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in small-scale maintenance and repair.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required.

WORK WEEK
Part-time role, 24 hours per week. Three days per week (week and/or weekend days available), with the hours flexible between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm.
HOURLY RANGE
$28.00-$30.00 (based on skill and experience)
