MAINTENANCE – DRIVER/PARTS RUNNER

Job Summary: Responsible for picking up and transporting parts, vehicles, supplies, and personnel, as well as traveling to various facilities and other properties or locations on an as-needed basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver parts, vehicles, and supplies for multiple facility properties.
  • Ensure timely and accurate transportation of materials as scheduled.
  • Maintain proper documentation of pickups and deliveries.
  • Follow all company safety policies and driving regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must have a level of comfort with backing up, tight turns, and navigating traffic while hauling a trailer. Also familiar with securing loads on a trailer.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Stand and walk up to eight hours per day on concrete surfaces.
  • Physically carry and transport items up to eight hours a day.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and transport in excess of twenty pounds frequently and repetitively for up to eight hours a day.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach grasps, twist, push, and pull items which range in excess of twenty pounds.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers by phone or in-person.
  • Must be mentally alert and capable of remembering oral instructions and routine tasks.
  • Must be able to withstand fluctuations in temperature and environmental fluctuations.
  • Must be able to work in cramped spaces, and heights of more than ten feet.
  • Good attendance and punctuality is necessary.
  • Must exemplify through appearance and behavior the company’s image of excellence.
  • Must be alert and able to identify and respond to a hazard by either reporting it immediately, or by taking corrective measures if directed.
