Are you a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in keeping a facility running at its best? At Atterbury Job Corps, our Maintenance Engineer leads the preventative maintenance and repair of the Center's facilities, grounds, and systems — and steps up as a leader for the maintenance team when needed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair of Center facilities, grounds, and systems
- Apply knowledge of local building codes, carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, boilers, and other building systems to keep the Center fully operational
- Supervise maintenance staff in the absence of the Facility Manager/Supervisor
- Provide supervision and training to Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department, as applicable
WHAT YOU BRING
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience (required)
- Previous lead or supervisory experience (preferred)
- Valid in-state driver's license and ability to meet Company insurability requirements (required)
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, climbing, walking, pulling/pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching, or ability to assess lift load and request assistance as needed
