Maintenance Engineer

Basic Job Duties
· Improve equipment reliability and reduce breakdowns across Chemical Business Unit production lines with primary focus on SSP production lines.
· Lead investigations of chronic equipment failures using IPS, RCA, and APS (Ansel Production System) methodologies, and implement permanent corrective actions.
· Develop and maintain PM Master Plans based on equipment criticality, component ranking, and Time-Based Maintenance (TBM).
· Develop spare part strategies, including critical spare identification, inventory optimization, and spare part standardization.
· Prepare and maintain engineering drawings and equipment documentation to support standardization and spare part procurement.
· Build and maintain complete machine history records, including component replacement history, equipment modifications, and lifecycle tracking.
· Develop component lifetime tracking and recommend replacement strategies based on equipment condition and failure history.
· Lead machine restoration activities to restore equipment to basic conditions and eliminate chronic losses.
· Support maintenance teams in troubleshooting complex mechanical failures and improving equipment maintainability.
· Drive maintenance cost reduction initiatives through Kaizen, engineering improvements, and maintenance optimization.
· Standardize machine components and engineering specifications to reduce spare part variation across production lines.
· Monitor KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, Breakdown Frequency, PM Compliance, Equipment Availability, and Maintenance Cost, and drive improvement actions.
· Support equipment modifications, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects.
· Coordinate with Production, Utility, Automation, Procurement, and external suppliers to improve equipment performance and plant reliability.
Qualifications\:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with up to 7 years of experience in Maintenance Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering are also welcome.
- Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and manufacturing operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, maintenance engineering or MNC environments will be added advantaged.
- Knowledge of TPM, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Engineering, MTBF/MTTR, spare parts management, or continuous improvement methodologies will be a plus.
- Experience with CMMS, D365 PM, AutoCAD, engineering drawings, or maintenance management systems will be a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, hands-on attitude.
- Ability to work effectively with Production, Maintenance and Engineering teams.
- Basic working proficiency in English.
