From a leaking faucet in a guest room to a flickering light in the lobby, our Engineering team keeps the hotel running smoothly behind the scenes. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll handle preventative maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, common areas, meeting spaces, and the fitness center, and you'll help maintain the hotel's mechanical systems. It's a good fit for a resourceful problem-solver who likes variety and takes pride in a job done right.
What you'll do
- Respond promptly to guest and staff repair requests, prioritizing issues that affect guest comfort and safety
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems
- Troubleshoot and repair fixtures, furniture, appliances, and equipment
- Keep accurate records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance logs
- Follow safety procedures and help keep the property up to code
What we're looking for
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests at once
- Friendly, professional demeanor when working in guest areas
- Availability for a varied schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; stand for up to six hours at a time; and regularly reach, carry, push, pull, bend, squat, and twist
- Experience in hotel, property, or building maintenance or housekeeping preferred
- Multi-lingual a plus
