Maintenance Engineer
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will serve as the primary catalyst for operational reliability and performance across production, utilities, and facility equipment. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will design and implement proactive maintenance strategies, leverage equipment data to eliminate root-cause downtime, and maximize overall plant throughput. In this role, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives that directly influence site performance and safety standards.
Responsibilities
-
Lead site-wide proactive maintenance programs by leveraging Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, and enforce EHS and product quality compliance.
-
Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies to increase packaging line efficiency and operational yield.
-
Manage Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes to refine preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
-
Implement and manage predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration and oil analysis, to proactively identify and resolve chronic equipment issues.
-
Partner with cross-functional operations and planning teams to manage spare parts inventory, optimize asset life cycles, and support shop floor 5S standards.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
-
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance, reliability, or plant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
-
Hands-on experience managing preventive maintenance programs using SAP or equivalent Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)/CMMS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
-
Working knowledge of predictive maintenance tools (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging, or oil analysis) and OSHA/GMP compliance standards.
-
Strong track record of facilitating successful continuous improvement projects that delivered measurable productivity or uptime improvements.
-
Proven capability in data-driven decision making, root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone), and project prioritization in dynamic production environments.
-
Knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, and equipment lubrication best practices.
