Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and certified Stainless-Steel Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. This role involves the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of high-quality stainless steel process piping, vessels, and equipment within the dairy, food, and beverage sectors.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional welding skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.

What you will do

• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel pipework, tanks, and processing equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and fabrication plans.
• Fabricate and install hygienic process piping systems.
• Carry out maintenance, repairs, and modifications to production equipment.
• Ensure all welding and fabrication work complies with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Conduct quality checks and testing of completed work.
• Adhere to food-grade hygiene requirements and health and safety procedures.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a service team.

We believe you have

• Relevant trade qualification in Welding, Fabrication, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Current welding certifications and qualifications.
• Proven experience in TIG welding stainless steel.
• Experience working within the dairy, food processing, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of hygienic welding and food-grade fabrication standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Full driver's licence and ability to work at various customer sites.

Desirable Skills

• Orbital welding experience.
• Experience with stainless steel vessel fabrication.
• Site installation and commissioning experience.
• Confined space and working at heights certifications.
• Forklift, EWP, or site safety certifications.
