Discussion

“At Fresquez Companies, we empower the lives of people by providing authentic, impactful and exceptional experiences (one team member and guest at a time).”

The Maintenance & Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, repair, safety, and operational readiness of Fresquez Companies' restaurant, office, and facility locations.

This position provides leadership and direction to the Maintenance team and coordinates internal resources, contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure facilities, equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building systems are properly maintained and operating efficiently.

This is a hands-on, working-manager position that requires actively working alongside the Maintenance team to complete maintenance tasks, repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and facility projects. The position is not limited to supervising, delegating, or coordinating work. The manager is expected to participate directly in daily maintenance operations, provide support in the field, troubleshoot issues, and work collaboratively with team members to ensure all assigned tasks are completed fully, correctly, safely, and within established deadlines.

The Maintenance & Facilities Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs, responding to emergency repairs, prioritizing work orders, managing maintenance projects, monitoring expenses and budgets, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.

The manager is accountable for both team performance and the quality and completeness of all maintenance work. This includes following up on outstanding work orders, inspecting completed repairs, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring any incomplete or unsatisfactory work is corrected promptly.

This position requires a highly organized, hands-on, self-motivated leader who can balance direct maintenance work with supervisory responsibilities while managing multiple locations, changing priorities, emergency situations, vendors, and maintenance projects. The manager must maintain strong communication with Restaurant Managers, Operations leadership, Administrative Management, and the Maintenance team.

The Maintenance & Facilities Manager must also be proficient in the technology and systems used to support facilities, security, work orders, communication, and business operations, including ECO Trak, Savi camera software, and the Microsoft 365 Suite.
