MAINTENANCE/FORKLIFT MECHANIC
Maintain lift trucks and keep them in safe condition. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
- Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
- Perform preventative maintenance on lift trucks
- Repair electric trucks
- Repair other equipment, as needed
- Perform welding
- Maintain batteries in charged and working condition
- Maintain elevated 60' lift truck (lansing), as well as tuggers, carts, propane lift trucks, propane system, and pallet jacks
- Repair and maintain battery chargers
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus four years experience in electric forklift repair; or combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to pass drug test
- Knowledge of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems and engine overhauls
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work weekends and overtime on an occasional basis
- Ability to work any shift
- Accuracy/attention to detail
- Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
- Ability to work within set time frames/fixed deadlines
- Ability to continue education
- Ability to operate a forklift, electric cart, manlift, and basic hand tools
- Limited Maintenance Industrial license
- Forklift license
