Pay: $39.43/hr - $44.72/hr + $4.93/hr (Health & Wellness Benefit)

SA-TECH is seeking to hire an experienced Maintenance Manager at the NTC at Fort Irwin, CA with expertise in military and commercial vehicle maintenance operations. Candidates should be highly organized, adaptive, and ready to thrive in a high operational work environment. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.


Specific duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead and oversee daily maintenance operations.
  • Supervise mechanics conducting maintenance on diesel equipment, including diesel generators, military, and commercial vehicles.
  • Manage our maintenance facility, ensuring proper accountability of all tools and equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance facility is safe by enforcing applicable safety standards.
  • Responsible for training and mentoring maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain a high equipment-uptime through continuous preventative maintenance before, during, and after equipment operations.
  • Monitor and report equipment status, build PM schedule, track services and ensure proper documentation of completed work.
  • Research and source maintenance parts for repairs.
  • Coordinate specialty support from vendors.
  • Enforce company policies and ensure employee compliance.

Work Conditions

  • Work will be both inside and outside, throughout the year in an austere environment with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Work requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and lifting.
  • Work involves occasionally lifting objects weighing between 50-100 pounds as part of a two-person team.
  • Shift work is required and hours may change based on mission requirements.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, to support the customer/mission.
  • You must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
