Essential Functions:

Oversee and may perform routine maintenance, janitorial duties and repair of buildings and grounds.
Report needs for major repairs, compete specifications, and capital documentation as required by LSSI and HUD.
Follow all standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance program.
Ensure prompt resident apartment turnover preparations.
Perform on-call services as scheduled and respond promptly to emergencies.
Provide direct supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation for assigned staff.
Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.

Position Qualifications

High school diploma (or equivalent) or three (3) to five (5) years experience in general and/or residential maintenance required.
Trade school or technical training preferred.
Background check clearance required.
Three (3) to five (5) years experience in general and/or residential maintenance preferred.
Willingness and ability to participate/obtain HUD, LSSI, OSHA, NSPIRE/REAC, etc. related training required.
One (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written.
Good organization and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
Access to reliable transportation required.
Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury, and property damage required.
