Maintenance Manager
Maintenance Manager | Luxury Lodge | Botswana
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager for a luxury lodge based in Botswana.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled maintenance professional to oversee the maintenance operations of a luxury lodge, fleet and marine operations across Botswana and Namibia. The successful candidate will be based in Botswana and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of all facilities, vehicles and vessels.
Package
Salary: P40,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
Live-in position
Company-sponsored Botswana work permit
Regular cross-border travel between Botswana and Namibia
Requirements
- Namibian citizen with a newly issued Namibian ID (QR code required)
- Minimum 5 years' maintenance experience within hospitality, lodges or hotels
- At least 2–3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning systems
- Extensive experience with solar power systems, battery banks, inverters and generators
- Proven experience in vehicle mechanics and fleet maintenance
- Extensive knowledge of boat mechanics, including outboard engines and marine systems
- Experience maintaining water supply, filtration and waste management systems
- Strong preventative maintenance planning and asset management experience
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading and developing maintenance teams
- Ability to coordinate contractors and external service providers
- Good understanding of health, safety and compliance standards
- Valid driver's licence
- Willingness to travel regularly between Botswana and Namibia
- Flexible and willing to respond to emergency maintenance requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all maintenance operations across the lodge, fleet and marine assets
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules for all buildings, equipment and vehicles
- Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems
- Oversee maintenance and servicing of boats, outboard engines and marine equipment
- Manage fleet servicing, repairs and vehicle inspections
- Monitor and maintain solar power systems, battery banks, generators and backup power systems
- Ensure water supply, filtration and waste systems remain fully operational
- Lead, train and support the maintenance team
- Manage maintenance budgets, stock, tools and spare parts inventory
- Coordinate contractors and ensure work meets company standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide regular reports to senior management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
