Location: Rome, GA

About the role

We are hiring a Maintenance Manager to improve maintenance systems and asset reliability for one of the largest plants for Kerry.

This role will be based out of Rome, GA plant. This role reports to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager for the site.

Key responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of mechanics to ensure the effective and efficient maintenance of all site equipment and machinery
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Collaborate with operations to schedule necessary maintenance repairs, ensuring safe and reliable equipment that meets and exceeds customer needs
  • Monitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activities
  • Manage the maintenance expenditure budget, including forecasting and cost control measures
  • Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program to extend equipment life and reduce repair costs

Competencies

We are looking for strong technical skills, strategic thinking and leadership. To elaborate, the candidate should have-

  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience of maintenance systems (planning & scheduling, preventive maintenance, parts management)
  • Knowledge and practical experience in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and SAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Knowledge of AI is a bonus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, ability to influence (up and down), coach and develop the maintenance team
  • Results oriented and ability to deliver successful outcomes

Qualifications and skills

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Technology or Engineering or other technical discipline from an accredited institution is preferred, or equivalent training and experience will be considered in lieu of education
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in maintenance in manufacturing environment with a specialization in automation (e.g., PLC, automated packaging and palletization)
  • 5+ years as a supervisor, manager, or engineer experience
  • Food, consumer goods, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred

The pay range for this position is $107,757 - $168,250 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
