Maintenance Manager

About the role

At Mur & Partners, we are looking for a Maintenance Manager for a leading company in the food industry.

Mission

Reporting to the Plant Industrial Director, the person hired will be the primary person responsible for the maintenance of the plant's equipment and facilities, ensuring their availability, reliability, and correct operation, as well as compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and lead the Maintenance team under their charge, establishing priorities and assigning the necessary resources based on the plant's production needs.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring their correct execution.
• Guarantee an agile response to breakdowns and incidents, analyzing their causes with the aim of preventing their recurrence.
• Manage and optimize the CMMS system, ensuring the correct updating and monitoring of maintenance plans, histories, and associated indicators.
• Supervise the maintenance of automatic process and packaging lines, including equipment such as volumetric fillers, case packers, closers, conveyors, labelers, and end-of-line systems.
• Coordinate and monitor suppliers and external maintenance companies, ensuring the correct execution of the work.
• Manage the availability and control of critical spare parts and stocks necessary for maintenance activities.
• Prepare and monitor the Maintenance area budget, as well as participate in investment and facility improvement projects.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing equipment reliability and availability and minimizing production downtime.
• Ensure compliance with the standards and procedures established regarding Occupational Risk Prevention, Quality, Food Safety, and Environment.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance responsibility positions, preferably in the food sector or in packaging process industries, such as beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, or similar sectors.
• Experience in packaging plants and automatic production lines.
• Knowledge in Mechanics, Electricity, automation, and technical incident detection.
• Previous experience with Team Management, suppliers, budgets, and maintenance projects.
• Knowledge and experience in the use of maintenance management software (CMMS).

Nice to have

• Experience with PLCs, drives, sensors, and industrial control systems will be valued.

Education & certifications

• Training in mechanical/electromechanical specialty (Industrial Technical Engineering, FPII, or CFGS Technician).
