Role Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and reliability of plant equipment used in production. The role focuses on developing and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, optimizing maintenance costs, and leading maintenance teams to ensure continuous plant availability while maintaining safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for plant equipment.
Ensure the smooth and continuous operation of production plants and industrial facilities.
Plan and manage maintenance budgets, investments, and resource allocation.
Lead and coordinate maintenance teams including electrical and mechanical technicians.
Monitor equipment performance and analyze recurring breakdowns to implement corrective actions.
Plan and oversee annual plant shutdown maintenance activities.
Manage maintenance contracts and coordinate with external service providers and subcontractors.
Track and report maintenance performance indicators and operational metrics.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, quality, and environmental standards.
Support technical projects such as equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
7–10 years of experience in cement manufacturing or heavy process industries, with exposure to kilns, vertical roller mills, and crushers.
Experience managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including team oversight and budget control.
Strong skills in shutdown planning, resource allocation, and spare parts management.
Proven ability in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to resolve equipment failures.
Good planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills to analyze gaps and implement improvements.
Knowledge of industrial safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills for high-performing maintenance operations.
