Maintenance Manager - Rome, NY

JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for scheduling preventive maintenance; managing capital projects; overseeing enhancements to facility and utility design; leading the department through site master planning, procuring and maintaining major equipment; and balancing all department expenses.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

• Schedule and audit maintenance resources and contractors to repair equipment, buildings and grounds and install new equipment

• Audit employee work quality and progress to complete project/task on time

• Oversee purchase and inventory of equipment spare parts

• Schedule resources to complete preventive maintenance system inspections in compliance with quality systems format and record keeping requirement

• Create and approve purchase requisitions up to level of authority

• Ensure that maintenance employees and contractors are operating and/or licensed in compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local regulations

• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10 years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment in facilities or engineering discipline

• 3 years demonstrated project management experience

• Strong computer and math skills

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft suite of products

• Demonstrated experience in organizing and implementing a preventive maintenance system

• Knowledge and experience with CAD software

The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
