Maintenance Manager

Summary

The maintenance manager manages a department of 15 to 20 direct reports. Key responsibilities include: Ensure preventative maintenance is being performed on all machines and equipment. Must be robust in ensuring machines and production equipment remains in excellent operating condition and the equipment is capable of performing to the requirements of production demand 24/7. Must have a high sense of urgency and be on call 24/7. Must have a strong background in production machine & equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

Essential Functions

  • 24/7 commitment that includes working weekends as required and being on call 24/7.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is being performed on machines and equipment as required of machine maintenance program.
  • Ensure maintenance staff receives proper training and staff is capable of performing the expected job requirements.
  • Ensure adequate level of spare parts inventory is available at all times.
  • Must have the capabilities to minimize and eliminate machine & equipment downtime.
  • Have a hands on approach and be willing to work on plant floor.
  • Responsible for the effective control and management of all labor, cost and parts.
  • Be a team player and use to working in an environment that strives for continuous improvement.
  • Must ensure all safety and company policies are being followed and enforced.
  • Have an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.
  • Must be open minded and a can do attitude.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast paced environment that is changing.
  • Able to multi–task and work with minimal supervision.
