Incredible Opportunity
Experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Heat Treat
Copper State Bolt & Nut Co. is looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic who knows how to troubleshoot, repair, and keep manufacturing equipment running.
This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position—not an entry-level role. You don't need to know our specific heat-treat equipment on day one. What we need is a mechanically and electrically strong maintenance professional who knows how to diagnose problems, make repairs safely, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
You will work closely with our experienced Senior Maintenance Lead and receive hands-on training on our heat-treat equipment and facility systems. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to build specialized knowledge and grow into a critical, long-term maintenance role with Copper State.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment
- Perform hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Troubleshoot motors, controls, electrical circuits, and three-phase equipment
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Work on gear-driven and belt-driven equipment, bearings, pumps, and related mechanical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, lubrication, and equipment inspections
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime
- Identify and correct equipment and facility safety concerns
- Assist with heat-treat equipment maintenance and learn Copper State's specialized processes
- Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other maintenance equipment
- Assist with maintenance projects and equipment improvements
- Obtain Copper State forklift certification and assist with forklift-related training as needed
- Work closely with the Senior Maintenance Lead and other team members to develop advanced knowledge of our equipment and systems
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a seasoned industrial maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems and figuring out why equipment isn't working.
Required:
- Previous industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting and testing
- Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems
- Working knowledge of three-phase power and industrial motors
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
- Valid driver's license
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Heat-treat equipment or industrial furnaces
- Burners or combustion systems
- PLCs and industrial controls
- Motors, transformers, relays, contactors, and switches
- Pumps and cooling systems
- Gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, belts, and chains
- Welding or fabrication
- Preventative maintenance systems/software
- Forklift maintenance
Why This Opportunity?
This isn't a position where you're expected to walk in knowing every piece of equipment we have.
We have an experienced Senior Maintenance Lead who will train you on our equipment and processes. We're looking for someone with a strong industrial maintenance foundation who wants to learn, grow, and become an important part of our operation.
If you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, working with your hands, and seeing the immediate results of your work, we'd like to talk with you.
Schedule
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Primarily a day-shift position with infrequent off-shift or weekend support when maintenance needs require it.
