Maintenance Mechanic (Motor Vehicle Operator/ Tractor Operator)

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County.

Serve as a helper in the repair and maintenance of gasoline powered and tractor drawn lawn mowers and other types of grounds maintenance equipment.

Assist in routine maintenance to include dismantling equipment and reassembling and adjusting parts.

Provide information to supervisor on status and progress of work, cause of delays, and overall work operations and problems.

Responsible for the accountability and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Perform duties in carpentry, painting, tractor and gardening, small engine and equipment maintenance, and motor vehicle and forklift operations.
