Maintenance Mechanic

You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Pacific West, Branch of Buildings & Grounds Maintenance, YOSEMITE NATL PARK, MARIPOSA, CALIFORNIA . 28.42-$33.22-AC-412R-Federal Wage System Regular and Special Production Facilitating Wage Rate Schedules for the Fresno, California (FN) Wage Area. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: As a Maintenance Mechanic, it requires competence and working knowledge of accepted practices of the applicable trade and craft areas. You will perform building/structure maintenance and operations duties utilizing knowledge and skills in a variety of trades. Must be able to work with and care for common power and hand tools as well as materials associated with trades. Must have journey level skill in at least two of the following trade areas: Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting, Masonry, Electrical, Roofing, or Heating and Cooling Sysems Repair.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. Incumbent is required to possess, or ability to obtain and maintain, Back-flow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification within 12 months of appointment.
