Maintenance Mechanical Technicians
Summary
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial mechanical equipment like pumps, compressors, and motors in a manufacturing or process plant setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, gearboxes, motors, valves, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
- Carry out equipment inspections and condition monitoring to ensure reliable operation.
- Install, align, dismantle, and overhaul mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
- Support plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and company standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment issues.
Requirements
- Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, bearings, seals, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and perform effective repairs.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programmes and CMMS is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Manufacturing, Water Treatment, or Process Industries is preferred.
