Summary

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial mechanical equipment like pumps, compressors, and motors in a manufacturing or process plant setting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, compressors, gearboxes, motors, valves, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
  • Carry out equipment inspections and condition monitoring to ensure reliable operation.
  • Install, align, dismantle, and overhaul mechanical equipment.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
  • Support plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment issues.

Requirements

  • Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, bearings, seals, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and rotating equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical faults and perform effective repairs.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programmes and CMMS is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Manufacturing, Water Treatment, or Process Industries is preferred.
