Maintenance Planner

Job Description:

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, organizing, and coordinating maintenance work to ensure equipment reliability, safety, quality, and production performance. This role works closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and Supply Chain to ensure maintenance activities are properly planned.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent education required.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices, machinery, and equipment.

  • Prioritization: Proven ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs effectively based on risk, urgency, and business impact.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, or Manufacturing environments.

  • Planning Expertise: Previous experience specifically in a maintenance planning or scheduling role.

  • Systems Experience: Proficiency with SAP (or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems / CMMS).

  • Process Development: Experience developing maintenance standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and shutdown/turnaround management.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Work Planning & Scheduling: Develop, organize, and coordinate detailed maintenance work plans, including parts, tools, labor, and safety permits.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and Supply Chain to align maintenance schedules with operational needs and minimize downtime.

  • Resource Optimization: Ensure that materials, equipment, and external services are available and staged prior to scheduling maintenance activities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Aid in the development and refinement of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize plant reliability and safety.
