Maintenance System Lead
Responsibilities:
Systems & Infrastructure Maintenance
- Maintain and support servers, endpoints, and network devices.
- Perform routine maintenance on hardware.
- Manage operating systems (Windows, Linux, virtual environments).
- Ensure uptime and service continuity for critical systems.
Preventive Maintenance & Monitoring
- Conduct scheduled system checks, updates, and patching.
- Monitor system health, logs, and alerts (CPU, memory, disk, network).
- Perform backup verification and restoration testing.
- Prevent system failures through capacity monitoring and early detection.
Incident Response & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Provide Level 1–3 technical support depending on role seniority.
- Respond to incidents, outages, and system degradation.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
Cybersecurity & Access Management
- Apply security patches, antivirus updates, and system hardening.
- Monitor for security threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions (AD, IDMS systems).
- Support security audits and compliance requirements.
System Administration & Configuration
- Configure and maintain Active Directory / Domain Services.
- Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, cloud VMs).
- Deploy and configure standard software and applications.
- Maintain system configurations and baseline standards.
Documentation & Asset Management
- Maintain asset inventory and lifecycle records.
- Update system documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.
- Record incidents, changes, and maintenance activities.
Change Management & Continuous Improvement
- Support change implementation and system upgrades.
- Assist in system migrations and technology refresh projects.
- Identify recurring issues and propose improvement solutions.
- Optimize system performance and operational efficiency.
Vendor & Contract Support
- Coordinate with hardware, software, and service providers.
- Support warranty claims, repairs, and service contracts.
- Evaluate vendor solutions and technical proposals.
- Monitor vendor performance and SLA compliance.
User & Operations Support
- Provide user training and technical guidance.
- Support business operations requiring system availability.
- Participate in standby, on-call, or shift support (role-dependent).
- Communicate issues and resolutions clearly to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration or infrastructure support.
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux Servers, Active Directory, and VMware or Hyper-V.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in server, hardware, software, and network environments.
- Knowledge of system monitoring, patching, backup, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with users, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
