Maintenance Technician 1st Shift

Base pay range is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: 7:00AM - 3:00PM, Monday - Friday

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures.

• Troubleshoot production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

• Inspect machinery and identify potential maintenance issues before equipment failures occur.

• Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, and component replacements as necessary.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and preventative maintenance schedules.

• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.

• Work closely with production supervisors to prioritize maintenance needs.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

• Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements.

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.

• Recommend improvements to equipment reliability, safety, and overall operational efficiency.

• Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.

• Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, conveyors, and industrial equipment.

• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics preferred.

• Ability to read technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.

• Basic welding and fabrication experience is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.

• Comfortable working around industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment.

Expectations

The Maintenance Technician is expected to minimize equipment downtime, complete preventative maintenance tasks on schedule, maintain a safe working environment, and contribute to continuous improvement throughout the facility.
