MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I - 2ND SHIFT

Middletown, OH direct hire

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (overtime schedule 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM)

Pay: $24-29/hr

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A Fortune 500 workplace products and services company is adding a Maintenance Technician I to the maintenance team at its Middletown, Ohio distribution and processing facility. This is a hands-on, second-shift role keeping production and material-handling equipment running with minimal downtime.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Repair mechanical machinery

- Repair conveyor systems

- Use a computer and maintenance tracking systems to document work

- Work from instructions and the downtime log to provide immediate response to maintenance problems

- Troubleshoot, evaluate, repair and test equipment quickly to minimize downtime

- Work closely with operators and stay aware of operator-related equipment problems

- Perform required preventive maintenance on a daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly basis per specifications on all assigned equipment or as directed

- Use diagnostic functions when troubleshooting electrical and electronic problems and make the necessary repairs

- Take on special projects and other duties for personal development as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED

- Electrical experience

- 1+ years of maintenance experience

- Basic language and communication skills in speaking and understanding English

- High School Diploma or GED
