Maintenance Technician in California, USA - MP

We're seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver with a strong background in both corrective and preventive maintenance. This role is critical to ensuring the continuous and efficient operation

Key Responsibilities: • Machine Maintenance: Independently perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on all components of plastic injection molding machines. This includes both mechanical and electrical systems. • Routine Tasks: Conduct routine maintenance activities, such as: o Checking and changing hydraulic oil. o Inspecting and replacing check rings, screws, and barrels. o Testing and replacing heater bands and thermocouples. • Auxiliary Equipment: Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a wide range of auxiliary equipment, including: o Material dryers o Thermolators o Water systems o Robots o Mule pumps • Troubleshooting & Collaboration: Work closely with process engineers and production technicians to diagnose and resolve machine problems. Use a systematic approach to identify the root cause of issues and implement effective solutions. • Lean/Continous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and increasing machine efficiency. • Electrical & PLC: Electrical maintenance, including reading schematics, replacing sensors and relays, diagnosing heater bands and thermocouples, troubleshooting control panels and circuit boards, etc. A solid understan

JOB INFORMATION

• Starting Salary: $60K per year
• Workweek: Monday-Friday 8am – 4pm

• Qualifications and Experience: • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician in a plastic injection molding environment. • Hands-on Skills: Proven ability to independently handle a variety of maintenance tasks on both mechanical and electrical systems. • Machine Variety: Experience maintaining and troubleshooting multiple brands of injection molding machines is required. Our facility includes Haitians, Toyos, Engels, Sumitomos, and Tederics.
