Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Responsible for completing predictive & preventative maintenance programs for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic & electrical systems.
• Responsible for complete installation of new equipment.
• Satisfy all other job responsibilities of Maintenance Workers (see job description for Maintenance A, B & C).
• Work independently or with a group to complete maintenance tasks.
• Complete work using fundamental mechanical & electrical principles.
• Document work orders & maintain spare parts inventory.
• Troubleshoot & resolve problems independently.
• Communicate to all departments within the organization.
• Work in a safe manner, following all relevant safety policies & procedures.
• Perform jobs requested by Maintenance Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• Journeyman’s card or Associates degree in Maintenance Technology or similar field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Machine Repair Tech, Millwright or Electrical Tech.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems and electrical circuits.
• Experience leading others.
• Strong attention to detail and able to keep accurate records.
• Able to effectively communicate with others and be able to read and write.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
