Maintenance Technician | The Mill at First Hill

SRM’s Maintenance Technician supports daily maintenance operations for a 358-unit residential community in the First Hill neighborhood. Working under the Maintenance Supervisor, this role completes service requests, preventive maintenance, and repairs throughout apartment homes, common areas, and amenities to help maintain a safe, well-kept community and a positive resident experience. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 9am - 6pm.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete service requests and work orders in a timely, professional manner.
• Assist with unit turns, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities in safe, well-kept condition.
• Follow proper procedures when entering occupied apartments and accurately document work completed.
• Provide courteous, responsive service to residents and communicate repair status clearly.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations, SRM safety standards, and company policies; use appropriate tools and PPE.
• Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues promptly and participate in required safety training.
• Support daily operations, inventory management, emergency response, and on-call rotations.
• Keep maintenance shops, storage areas, and workspaces clean and organized.
